Do I need an office?

This might be an odd question for an office provider to ask but as managed workplace providers we are constantly looking at how we can support the market and our customers. The truth is that as we emerge into what we all hope will be a post Covid world, many businesses will be examining costs and whilst we aim to provide excellent service and flexibility ensuring businesses aren’t locked into long term leases or large offices there will be some firms that decide to change the where and how they operate. Virtual offices provide one such solution.

There are many reasons why having a physical office is beneficial but what if you decide it really isn’t necessary. Relying on a residential address is equally problematic for a number of business owners.

Does it set the right tone for their business?

Do they want all their clients to know where they live?

Does their address reflect the geographical location of their target audience?

Virtual offices can provide the answer to this.

Warwick Mill has quietly been providing virtual offices for over 10 years. In that time, we have seen businesses establish a virtual base here for a variety of reasons including

Targeting a new market and having a local address will help them.

They don’t want to be seen as being from “across the border” with that border being country as in England/Scotland, county or even north/south.

Providing privacy for home addresses for potentially contentious businesses.

Separation of work and home life.

Legal requirements of needed post securely handled and stored.

A low cost provision that the professional image an address in a well-established business centre and listed building offers.

Our virtual tenants are treated in exactly the same way as those physically based here. We make no apologies that our application procedure is fair but robust ensuring that we meet all anti money laundering regulations and ensure that the businesses here are honest and true.

Virtual offices are not the solution for everyone. Our reception staff provide a friendly face, but they cannot replace the informal collaboration with a colleague that finds a solution to a work issue. They can provide an address, a telephone number and answering service, usually at a considerably lower figure than national companies.
